UNEXPECTED SAHD COST

I have come to the conclusion that there is an unexpected SAHD cost that myself and my wife did not consider when we decided to switch roles with the kids.

I break the plastic wheels on a vacuum every 3-4 months and as a result we always keep the receipt.  We have tried a variety of brands, we have tried a variety of upgrades, we have tried just about every vacuum.  What I want to know is why don’t they make those wheels stronger?  It is the most used section of a vacuum and yet they are still made out of cheap plastic.

I know the simple answer is to not use the vacuum with so much gusto, if I do that I never seem to have a clean enough carpet.  Can any company make a good quality vacuum with strong wheels for under $300.00?
